Garage conversion into bedroom with en-suite

At Essex Fitters, we transformed this underused garage into a bright, modern living space complete with a stylish en-suite bathroom.

The Challenge

The original garage was cold, dark, and impractical for day-to-day use. The client wanted to maximise their home’s potential by converting it into a comfortable, fully insulated room with a private en-suite.

The Transformation
• Insulation & Structure: We installed full floor, wall, and ceiling insulation, creating a warm and energy-efficient environment.
• Interior Finish: Modern spotlights, fresh plaster, and wood-effect flooring gave the space a contemporary look.
• En-Suite Addition: We designed and built a compact yet luxurious en-suite featuring:
• A curved glass shower enclosure
• Floor-to-ceiling marble-effect tiles
• Space-saving vanity and WC
• Exterior Works: The garage door was removed and replaced with brickwork, cladding, and new windows, ensuring the room seamlessly blended with the home’s exterior.

The Result

The garage is now a versatile, fully functional living area with its own private bathroom—perfect as a guest suite, office, or additional bedroom.
