From outdated and stripped-back… to a seamless spa-style retreat.

The Brief

Our client wanted to completely transform their tired, dated bathroom into a modern luxury space with a hotel-quality finish. They requested warm marble tones, gold accents, mood lighting, and a layout that felt both practical and indulgent.

The existing room was stripped back, with exposed pipework, old sanitaryware and an outdated bath — a perfect blank canvas for a full Essex Fitters transformation.

Our Approach

We designed a high-end bathroom centred around large-format marble-effect tiles, rich veining, and warm ambient lighting. Every detail was upgraded, from the flooring to the niches, bringing a cohesive luxury feel throughout the space.

Continuous wall and floor tiling creates a seamless, glossy, high-end finish with dramatic natural stone tones.

✨ LED Mood Lighting

Discreet LED lighting was installed:
• under the step detail,
• behind the floating vanity shelf, and
• around the LED halo mirror.

The lighting reflects beautifully off the polished tiles and transforms the evening atmosphere.

✨ Freestanding-Style Bath

A modern deep bath sits perfectly against the feature wall, complete with:
• gold waste and overflow
• soft rounded lines
• warm-toned wall tiling to frame the area

✨ Brushed Gold Fixtures

Premium brushed gold brassware was used throughout, including:
• heated towel rail
• wall-mounted flush plate
• basin and bath taps
• shower valve and handset

These touches elevate the design and bring a luxury warmth to the space.

✨ Floating Vanity with Vessel Basin

A sleek floating shelf with marble-effect finish houses a modern countertop basin and a backlit round mirror — stylish, practical, and the visual centre of the room.

✨ Walk-In Shower

A concealed thermostatic system, rainfall head, and a large white tray create a clean, minimal showering space. Gold trim detailing visually ties the shower area into the rest of the bathroom.
